Holiday STEM Toy Drive

Elfing Day – our final day of the toy drive – was AMAZING.  We enjoyed hanging out at Rock & Brews in Oviedo all day with OneBlood.  We collected 11 units of blood and more than 50 STEM-themed toys.   We’ll see you there next year on Saturday, December 15th!

Let’s show our generous spirit and our dedication to inspiring youth interest in STEM disciplines by providing a variety of math and science toys and books to gift drives for local shelters this holiday season.

Items must be NEW and unwrapped. Donations go to homeless and domestic violence shelters and programs for at-risk youth in Central Florida.

STEM toys develop interest and skill in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and gives them a head start and advantage as they progress through their educational journey.  Not only do we use STEM skills in many aspects of our lives, but the best career paths are in STEM fields – and we need great people educated to fill them in the future.  Toy drives bring in many kinds of gifts, but there is a shortage of drives focusing on STEM-related gifts that can spark a young person’s interest – and perhaps influence their future. Please join us in this effort to make a difference for at-risk youth in our community!

THANK YOU everyone who donated to support the 2016 STEM-Themed Toy Drive!  Read about our success here: Holidays & Happiness, Humanist Style
